Nook Development.

I had my first app accepted into the Nook Store and I have noticed it can be hard to meet the requirements that the Nook QA team asks for, but they are very responsive to my submissions and are willing to work with my apps.

I have found on the upside that the one app I have in the Nook Store has sold very well to start.

So I do look forward to making more Nook Apps or formatting my existing apps for the Nook platform even though I don’t have a Nook to test on which would make testing easier for me to tell what the Nook QA team sees.

Thanks Nook team for accepting me.

Portathon for Blackberry.

As I become more involved with making apps for other platforms that are not iOS I’ve found more and more reasons to use the phonegap / cordova platform which has to be the most versatile in building apps today for more than one platform.

The new Blackberry 10 platform is actually pretty simple and there are a lot thinks that are very similar to Android. I now have 4 BB10 approved apps and some have started to make money. I have also recently updated my Amazon Android Apps to support better screen sizes for the Kindle and other Android devices. It’s been successful also in starting to sell some new apps. I’m now trying to develop for the B&N Nook platform too. I was also invited to participate in a new SDK part of the Amazon Kindle platform which I cannot talk about until it becomes available to the public.

Lots of exciting things happening in apps today. I just read about how the Sechna framework is faster than native apps. Which might be a challenge to Facebooks dev team.

I’m also trying to figure out how to upgrade my old cordova 1.7 apps to work with the new cordova 2.2 for iOS and have found some interested details on how to do this.

Anyway I’ll update you guys when I find out more

BlackBerry 10

Over the weekend I participated in the Blackberry 10 portathon which was something Blackberry came up with the get more games in the App World store.

I created a game called CupCake Match and it just went live this morning to the App World store. I’ll see what happens with the rest of the games I sent in, but so far so good.

You can check it out here and if you have a Blackberry playbook you can install it here:
